Investors in People Standard
The Investors in People (IIP) Standard is a framework for business improvement designed to boost your organisation's performance through the development of your people.
Developed in 1990 by employers for employers, it has achieved significant results – helping thousands of companies across the country to realise their objectives.
Setting out levels of good practice for the training, development and motivation of staff, the Standard can be tailored to fit in with your own business requirements. Your emqc specialist will work with you during the planning stage to explore your priorities and key objectives.

This tool will help you to obtain a clear understanding of your current strengths and development areas. Skills for Life Training and Investors in People
Up to £1,000 could be available for employers from Investors in People UK (IIPUK).
Organisations need:
- to have less than 1,000 people
- to be undertaking an IIP Assessment before the end of March 2009
- to be able to demonstrate that they have undertaken Skills for Life learning within their organisation.
